Illustration from my pop-up picture book "Cinderella", published by North Parade Publishing in the UK and by Fabbri in Italy.
The classic fairytale of Cinderella is reimagined to pop out of the page and this is the iconic shoe fitting scene!
The stepsister's have just tried, and failed, to fit the glass slipper on their big feets. Cinderella is about to wear it, leading to her being recognized as the mysterious princess the prince fell in love with at the ball... and they lived happily ever after.
The design of pop-ups is by Laura Garnerburt and text adaptation by Leanne Felton.
